Medical Laser Dynamics
MLD’s nationally recognized CME approved program will provide an academic and hands-on understanding of laser physics, safety and regulations. In this two-day program, you will learn all the fundamentals you need to safely and effectively administer laser and intense pulsed light treatments within regulatory guidelines, while maximizing outcomes. CEU Courses

Laser Physics, Safety and Tissue Interaction
Join John Hoopman, CMLSO from UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in a one day, didactic overview of laser and light-based physics. This course provides the physician or non-physician staff member an academic forum to learn the fundamental characteristics of lasers and light devices and how to apply those fundamentals to common applications to improve efficacy without increasing complications. Registration fee required.

Tissue Biophysics

In this one day course, Larry Helwig, RN, founder and President of the Clearskin Institute of Laser Aesthetics in Phoenix, Arizona, will teach the foundations for improving clinical decisions, outcomes, and confidence when treating with light and lasers. It is appropriate for physicians and non-physician staff who want to learn more about various kinds of laser and light sources, how tissue absorbs light, laser safety, and how to effectively treat a variety of clinical conditions. As part of our commitment to further your education and keep you updated on the latest clinical techniques, we invite all Sciton customers to attend our User Summits. Learn from a panel of highly qualified specialists about advanced tips and techniques for successful aesthetic procedures, how to maximize profitability in aesthetics, and about new applications to expand your practice. Registration fee required.

Preceptorships offer an opportunity to develop skills and gain a clear understanding of all Sciton equipment and treatments. Each scheduled preceptorship will be performed by a Sciton-approved premier physician experienced with Sciton equipment. The one-day course will take place at the trainer’s facility, and he/she will schedule patients for live demonstrations. You will leave with a packet of information including laser settings, pre- and post-op instructions, examples of procedure fees, and consent forms. Following completion, you will receive a signed Certificate of Proficiency from the physician educator. Registration fee required.
