Sciton Receives ISO 9001 Certification

Palo Alto, CA — April 28, 2000 — Sciton, Inc. has announced today that it has received ISO9001 certification. The ISO quality system is recognized worldwide as a symbol of quality in all areas of design, manufacturing and service and will allow Sciton to market Contour throughout Europe.

Dan Negus, President of Sciton Inc. stated, "In receiving ISO 9001 certification it confirms Sciton’s commitment to quality. It is critical that our customers know that the quality of our products and services we provide is paramount to Sciton and its employees."

On April 5, 2000, Sciton announced that it would be also entering the hair and vascular market with a new Longpulse Nd:YAG laser that will treat all skin types and hair colors.

In 1998, Sciton revolutionized the skin resurfacing market with the introduction of the Contour™ dual mode long pulse erbium laser that allows physicians to independently select the depth of ablation and coagulation. Physicians are able to choose the depth of treatment required to achieve effective results in measurements of microns of tissue, resulting in an extremely repeatable and uniform treatment.
