Palo Alto, CA — April 28, 2000 — Sciton, Inc. has announced today that it has received ISO9001 certification. The ISO quality system is recognized worldwide as a symbol of quality in all areas of design, manufacturing and service and will allow Sciton to market Contour throughout Europe.

On April 5, 2000, Sciton announced that it would be also entering the hair and vascular market with a new Longpulse Nd:YAG laser that will treat all skin types and hair colors.
In 1998, Sciton revolutionized the skin resurfacing market with the introduction of the Contour™ dual mode long pulse erbium laser that allows physicians to independently select the depth of ablation and coagulation. Physicians are able to choose the depth of treatment required to achieve effective results in measurements of microns of tissue, resulting in an extremely repeatable and uniform treatment.
